Family Liturgy Youth Chorale

The Youth Chorale sings every Sunday for the 9:30 am Family Liturgy Mass along with the Youth Handbell Choir from September through May. All boys and girls who love to sing, between Grades 3 - 8 and high school choir leaders, are welcome to join. Being a part of this ensemble provides choristers the opportunity to develop strong vocal skills and proper performance etiquette. Most importantly, it gives choristers the opportunity to grow in their faith through music and share that faith with those around them. Weekly rehearsals are held on Thursdays from 6:30 pm until 7:10 pm.  handbell3a

The Parish Choir

IMG 3722The Parish Choir of 40+ voices is the backbone of all major liturgies and concerts here at St. Rose and includes both professional and non-professional singers from high school to adult ages. The choir performs a wide variety of repertoire from chant-based motets to new publications. To worship and at the same time be able to share your voice with this ensemble is a truly powerful, spiritual and rewarding experience.

A simple audition is required to join. Previous choral experience is preferred. Rehearsals are held on Thursdays from 8:00-9:00 pm. The choir sings for the 11:00 am Mass every Sunday from September through May and performs multiple concerts throughout the year.

During the past few seasons, the choir has performed notable sacred music concerts including REQUIEM - Gabriel Faure, MESSIAH, Parts I & III Handel, Messe Solennelle (St. Cecilia) by Charles Gounod, with the 100+ voice Diocesan Choir of Rockville Centre, GLORIA by Vivaldi, and the Dubois, Seven Last Words of Christ.
