Just in time for Easter of 2018, alongside our Sanctuary renovation includes a magnificent renovation and expansion of our 1965 Moller Pipe Organ. With the addition of twenty-one new stops (or sounds), a new antiphonal division and three beautiful pipe facades, the organ will not only look spectacular but also provide us with a full, rich accompaniment. All the new color, vibrancy and depth of sounds will greatly augment our liturgies here at St. Rose Parish. Two parishioners so graciously gave significant donations to kick-start this long-awaited project, and because of the ongoing generosity of our St. Rose family, we can complete this alongside our Sanctuary renewal.  Click here for more info regarding the organ specifications!

Scout Sunday will be celebrated here on March 11, at the 5:15pm Life Teen Mass.

Following the Family Mass on Sunday February 11, families gathered at the auditorium for the Family Liturgy Lent Day, to make fun crafts relating to the Lenten Season.

On Sunday, March 18th, 2018, we will celebrate our annual Gaelic & Garlic dinner in the Auditorium - sorry, tickets are sold out!

After reading the book "Dear Pope Francis: The Pope Answers Letters from Children Around the World”, one of our 5th grade Catechism classes was inspired to write their own letters to the Pope.  His office replied with a letter as well as several signed photos of his Holiness for the children to take home. The children were so happy to hear from him!

Lent - a time for drawing closer to God.  Among the many symbols of Lent, the most recognizable is the ashes we have placed on our heads.  Ashes symbolize the repentance we feel because we have not lived up to being the person God calls us to be.  Out of the ashes of our past we can, with God's help, be renewed spiritually and journey to a new life in Christ.

The annual Family Liturgy Committee Bagels 'N Bingo took place on Sunday, Jan. 28, following the 9:30 am Mass.  Everyone had a great time!

We celebrated a Mass of Healing/Recovery on Thursday, Jan. 18 at 6:00 pm in church; opioid education and naloxone training followed in the rectory meeting room.  If addiction has touched your life, please permit us the honor to pray with you, for you, your families, your friends.  For information please visit the Massapequa Takes Action website  or the Yes Community Counseling Center website; or call our outreach office at 516.798.4954.
