The Parish Choir

organdedication3

Founded over forty years ago, the semi-professional Parish Choir (SATB) remains the pillar of our music ministry. The choir continues to enrich the 11:00am Traditional Choir Mass, our most sacred liturgies, and various concerts throughout each choral season. The choir sings a vast variety of repertoire ranging from motets of the renaissance period to new publications. Singers in age from high school through mature adult are welcome to join. A simple audition is required. Previous choral experience is preferred.
Over the past 9 years, the choir has performed notable sacred music concerts including Requiem - Faure, Messiah - Handel (Parts I & III), Messe Solennelle (St. Cecilia) - Gounod (with the former Diocesan Choir of Rockville Centre), Gloria - Vivaldi, and The Seven Last Words of Christ - Dubois.

Youth Chorale

(Grades 4 - 8 & High School Schola)
2019epiphanylc3Founded over twenty years ago, this ever-evolving mixed choir of boys and girls continue to enrich the 9:30 am Family Liturgy Mass along with the Handbell Choirs from September through May. All boys and girls who love to sing are welcome to join. Being a part of this ensemble provides choristers the opportunity to develop strong vocal skills and proper performance etiquette. Most importantly, it gives choristers the opportunity to grow in their faith through music and share that faith with those around them. Weekly rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings.
