The Parish Choir

organdedication3

Founded over forty years ago, the semi-professional Parish Choir (SATB) remains the pillar of our music ministry. The choir continues to enrich the traditional choral Mass, our most sacred liturgies, and various concerts throughout each choral season. The choir sings a vast variety of repertoire ranging from motets of the renaissance period to new publications. Singers in age from high school through mature adult are welcome to join. A simple audition is required. Previous choral experience is preferred. Over the past 10 years, the choir has performed notable sacred works of music, including Requiem - Faure, Messiah - Handel (Parts I & III), Messe Solennelle (St. Cecilia) -Gounod (with the former Diocesan Choir of Rockville Centre), Gloria - Vivaldi, and The Seven Last Words of Christ - Dubois.
