The Parish Choir
Founded over forty years ago, the semi-professional Parish Choir (SATB) remains the pillar of our music ministry. The choir continues to enrich the traditional choral Mass, our most sacred liturgies, and various concerts throughout each choral season. The choir sings a vast variety of repertoire ranging from motets of the renaissance period to new publications. Singers in age from high school through mature adult are welcome to join. A simple audition is required. Previous choral experience is preferred.
Since 2010, the choir has performed notable sacred works of music, including Requiem – Faure, Messiah – Handel (Parts I & III), Messe Solennelle (St. Cecilia) -Gounod (with the former Diocesan Choir of Rockville Centre), Gloria – Vivaldi, and The Seven Last Words of Christ – Dubois.
Cherub Choir and Children’s Choir
The Cherub Choir consists of singers from grades K – 2; the Children’s Choir for grades 3 – 8. These young singers seek to enrich the family mass bi-monthly in song, and welcomes all boys and girls who have a passion for singing.
Advanced Bell Ensemble
Advanced Middle School & High School
This ensemble of boys and girls is made up of intermediate/advanced handbell ringers that enrich our family mass monthly, and in concert. Almost all the members of this ensemble have gained experience from participating in the Youth Ensemble.
Youth Bell Ensemble
Elementary & Middle School Grades
This ensemble invites boys and girls to enrich our family mass monthly, and in concerts as beginner/intermediate handbell ringers where they learn the basic techniques and methods of ringing.

Pianos
In the year 2022, we were blessed with the addition of a new 6’ Yamaha grand piano for the front of the Sanctuary, made possible by many parishioners. In the year 2024, we were further blessed with the addition of a 6’ Steinway grand piano for the choir loft, made possible by the Alice Hartley Foundation. These outstanding instruments help us to enhance the liturgies and scared music concerts here at St. Rose.
